As a local publication, SRQ | The Magazine is a strong believer in the importance of giving back to the community. The Sarasota area is incredibly lucky to have a rich portfolio of non-profit organizations that make a difference every single day. Here at SRQ, we celebrate these organizations and the individuals who work behind the scenes to enrich the quality of life for people (and our furry friends!) on the Gulf Coast. The newly launched SRQ Engagement Center is happy to bring The Story Project to life. This exciting new program will tell the story of local charitable organizations in order to raise awareness of their good work in our community.

We welcome Forty Carrots Family Center to the SRQ Story Project for 2015. And we aren’t the only ones who are excited. Michelle Kapreilian, Executive Director, shares her enthusiasm.

“Forty Carrots Family Center is thrilled to join our long-time partner, SRQ Magazine, for their Story Project initiative. This special project shows SRQ’s level of commitment to the well-being of children and families in our community by helping us share information about our early childhood and parenting education programs with their readers. We are privileged to be part.” – Michelle Kapreilian

The guiding force of Forty Carrots Family Center is a the belief that the family is the foundation of our society. A local Sarasota non-profit, Forty Carrots is dedicated to strengthening families through educational programs for parents, children, and professionals in the field. Forty Carrots has four components, including:

  • Parenting Education Program
  • Mental Health Services
  • Nationally Accredited (NAEYC Preschool)
