Local catalyst SRQ MEDIA is pleased to announce the launch of two collaborative community initiatives, ProjecTHINK and the KidsFest: Hands-On Creativity Festival. Launched from SRQ’s Springboard Engagement Center, both events are produced in partnership with Ringling College of Art and Design, the Education Foundation of Sarasota County and CareerSource Suncoast and engage Sarasota and Manatee families, educators and organizations serving local children.

“Engaging with our community to recognize existing resources and to develop new opportunities for the family started as a personal journey with my two young children,” says CEO/President of SRQ MEDIA Lisl Liang. “What I learned is that our region represents incredible thought leadership in education and lifelong learning. These experiences inspired us to cultivate programming that would convene this topic in a meaningful way cross-silo and to invest in bringing the hands-on movement to life in a day-long festival in February.”

The ProjecTHINK takes place at the Alfred R. Goldstein Library on the campus of the Ringling College of Art and Design the morning of Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 8:30am to Noon. This year-round initiative cultivates inspiration and insight by bringing families, educators, students and creative thinkers together for collaborative discussions on the changing strategies of innovation in learning throughout our lives. Kicking off with the professional half-day conference this spring, ProjecTHINK works with partners in the region to push the boundaries of this impactful topic to spark new a-ha’s.
