SRQ magazine has moved it’s cultural kickoff gala event SRQ GOOD | GALA to a biennial event, now taking place on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the historic Sarasota Opera House. With the launch of the Independent Spirit Awards and the outpouring from readers sharing their special stories about our local non-profits, we recognize that we can do much more to benefit the community by extending the GOOD | GALA throughout the coming year, with a culminating event Saturday, October 7, 2017.
This is a special program with deep collaboration with both our readers and our performers, who are creating custom productions and pieces to reflect our top giving back stories. We know that keeping the conversation alive through the year will give our local non-profits an even more vibrant platform to share the important work that they do.
We’re proud to extend the submission of stories through December 31 of this year, in the month during which SRQ magazine celebrates “Giving Back”.
Tickets are still on sale online, as are VIP Harlequin packages and story sponsorships to recognize our Independent Spirit Award winners from the stage. The MainStage performances for this signature 2017 masquerade gala include productions from Artist Series, Moving Ethos, The Players, Sarasota Contemporary Dance, Sarasota Orchestra and the Circus Arts Conservatory.
We are also moving the VIP party from this September to March of 2017—we’ll let you know just when and where to join us for this UnParty.
We hope to see you next October on the 7th at the Sarasota Opera House! Reserve your tickets and be a part of a magical evening of performances and stories that will touch your heart.
